Coach Matt Clifford
Matt graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2003 with a BS in Kinesiology and received his Single Subject Teaching Credential in the fall of 2004. He graduated from Jesuit High School in ’97 and was a three year Varsity letterman. He led the Marauders to the Northern California Division I Championship game during his junior season. As a junior, Matt was one of the leading scorers in Northern California as he averaged 24 points per game as well as 7 rebounds and 5 assists. He was nominated for the
McDonalds All-American team for his accomplishments during his junior campaign. Matt suffered a career ending knee injury entering his senior season. He was a member of the Jesuit coaching staff for the last 6 years and achieved tremendous success as the head freshman and JV coach during his tenure. During his 2 seasons as the head JV coach, his teams had a record of 53-2 and the 2004-2005 team was a perfect 27-0.
Coach Jon Rotz
Coach Rotz is currently an Asst. Coach at Sierra College in Rocklin. Jon graduated from Jesuit High School in ‘92 as the All-Time Single Season Assist Leader. He was a member of back-to-back section title teams. As the starting point guard for Jesuit, he led the Marauders to a 32-2 overall record in ‘92, as well as an undefeated CVC League Title and the Sac-Joaquin Section Title. His ‘92 Marauders were the 1992 Nor-Cal runner up and finished ranked #2 in the state of California; behind National Player of the Year Jason Kidd and Kidd’s St. Joseph Pilots. He was selected for CVC All-League Team and was honorable mention All-City in the Sacramento Bee. He previously worked for the 4th "R" School Age Recreation Program and the Sacramento Children’s Home. Jon was a valued member of the Jesuit High School basketball coaching staff for 12 years.
